John 1:35-42
Today is St. Andrews Day, thus the reading from John (instead of normally scheduled Acts). In the Orthodox Church Andrew is known as the proto-kletos, the “first called” of Jesus disciples. Andrew, at first a disciple of John the Baptist, starts to follow Jesus. He is so compelled by Jesus that he immediately goes and tells his brother Simon Peter (who goes and tells someone else who tells someone else...and so on).
