Revelation 7
There’s famously been much hub-bub about the the 144,000. But this, again, is a classic misreading of how apocalyptic literature is meant to be read. We tend to read it chronologically. First there was 144,000. And then, secondly, separately from that, there was a great multitude that no one could count (verse 9).
However, Revelation should be read telescopically or cyclically. Revelation will often use 3 different images to explain one single thing.
