- Note the differences between this version and the one in, say, Mark, where the disciples are the ones asking Jesus to send the people away. In John, it is Jesus who is testing Philip.
- I always like to point out that the children were a frequent part of Jesus’ crowds. Whenever you imagine Jesus with the disciples, don’t forget that children are there too.
