A new rhythm for the lectionary

A new rhythm for the lectionary

    Friends,

I’m sorry for disappearing on you. The daily notes stopped somewhere in the wilderness of Exodus without a word of explanation, and you deserved one.

Our administrative assistant at The Table recently moved on, and I’ve spent the past few weeks catching up on everything that role used to carry. The early-morning writing was the first thing to go.

The pause also showed me something I’d been avoiding. In writing every day, I let the rest of this blog go quiet. The essays, the longer devotionals, the pieces I started parrott.ink to write have been sitting untouched. I want room for those again.

So I’m simplifying. We’ll stay with the Narrative Lectionary, but you’ll get one post a week instead of seven. Each one will include the full list of that week’s readings, so you can keep a daily rhythm on your own, alongside my reflection on the week’s text.

Thank you for reading with me, and for your patience.

    Grace and peace,
    Anthony
